Aldi is bringing back its huge £5 “Big Daddy” steak this week – but there’s limited stock

It’s the largest pre-packaged steak in British supermarkets.

Gird your loins and prepare for battle, as the Big Daddy is back due to popular demand.

Costing just £4.99, Aldi’s forever sold-out 16oz steak is finally back in store this week – and this time, you can be first in line.

Hitting Aldi shelves all over the UK this Thursday (19th October), the famous Big Daddy is Aldi’s highly coveted Extra Thick Rump Steak, which is made from 100% British beef and then matured for 21 days.

Apparently 100g heavier but 20% cheaper than Tesco’s £5.95 Finest Rump Steak 350g , the budget supermarket has officially declared it the largest pre-packaged steak that you can get from a supermarket. So it’s no surprise that it keeps selling out within hours…

Last time it was back on shelves, double the stock was ordered in, and this time, we’re hoping there’s even more £5 Big Daddies up for grabs.

However despite being dubbed ‘Big Daddy’, Aldi assures us that the steak is not solely reserved for dads and that anyone who can get their hands on it in store can eat it and love it.

Julie Ashfield, Joint Managing Director of Corporate Buying at Aldi UK, said: “The 16oz ‘Big Daddy’ Extra Thick Rump Steak has been a customer favourite since it first launched earlier this year and we’re delighted to bring it back as a Specialbuy once again.”
